Pure Energy Quality Assurance

Quality Workforce. Quality Assured.

We are your eyes and ears in the field. We work hard to support you. Our job is to ensure that your entity is getting its (and ratepayers' and taxpayers') money’s worth.

Third Party Verification

Pure Energy has a Certified Workforce: all of our field inspectors and trainers are Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified. Since Pure Energy performs diagnostic services - we don't sell anything - we are independent and non-biased. Our Certified Workforce can ensure the competence and qualifications of contractors and installers who install home energy efficiency products and retrofits.

A major focus of our QA business is providing field verification of measures and services, improving customer satisfaction, and finding hidden opportunities for energy efficiency and conservation.

We offer these services:

  • Final inspections
  • Follow-up after other QA professionals

Reduce Your Risk

Our inspections involve checking contractor work to ensure that the work: will not diminish the integrity of the structure; will last for many years; is appropriate for the resident; will perform as designed; is safe; will save energy; and provides the utility or governmental entity with cost-effective results. We also make sure the contractor didn't miss any cost effective opportunities that meet program goals. Our home visits typically include inspecting all parts of the structure, including the hard-to-reach areas.

Please contact us about your QA needs.

Whitepaper: Air Sealing and Insulating Using Rigid or Spray Foam Products

Updated June 29, 2011

As QA and QC inspectors for several weatherization, conservation, and efficiency programs, Pure Energy Coach LLC must know as much as possible about fire, electrical, building and other code requirements that relate to the work that is done in these programs.

We also must know about products and where they are allowed to be used in buildings, according to codes.

When some building and retrofit materials burn, they can release potent fumes that can make people ill. That is one reason codes require ignition or thermal barriers over some products and in some building locations and applications. These barriers protect people in the case of a fire.

Code books are hard to read and understand! We are doing our best to clarify the issues, and we believe we are on the cutting edge with this information. Please share what you know with us and we’ll continue to share with you!   For more information, download these resources.
